The successful construction of our biomass power plant

Our largest climate project to date, new at the Cham site

The construction of our biomass cogeneration plant was successfully completed in August.

With this project, the Cham site is now completely fossil-free. We have now successfully put this future technology into operation and, with an investment of around 4 million euros, have made a clear commitment to the Cham site and the ‘wood’ product segment. With this investment in the future, we are sending a strong signal in favour of greater sustainability. The highly efficient plant with an efficiency of over 98% creates a perfect cycle. We thus utilise 100% of our wood, which comes exclusively from PEFC-certified (renewable) forests. This step not only enables us to drastically reduce our CO2 footprint, but also to actively contribute to the conservation of valuable resources.
